About BecRon Farms
Becky Rudd and Ronnie Dunn grew up in Mecklenburg County VA. Both graduated from Park View High School then went off into the world to find their life’s path. Years passed. Some things worked out and other things didn’t work out quite as either of them planned. Both ended up back in Mecklenburg. They ran into each other at different places and always spoke to one another. Until one day, Ronnie invited Becky to an open house at the clubhouse. She thanked him for the invitation but said she probably won’t go unless someone dragged her out of the house. He replied then I’ll just have to do that. And that’s how this chapter started.
While sitting on the back porch counting our blessings, Becky and Ronnie discussed ways to keep their blessings flowing. That’s how BecRon Farms was born.
Bees have always been fascinating to both of them. Becky wanted bees when her dad was still alive. However, he didn’t want bees to mess with his horses. Last year, they had one hive. This year, there are four hives. Hopefully, there will be enough honey to sell.
Ronnie had chickens and ducks as a kid. Becky was not so sure about getting chickens because of snakes. He promised to handle the snakes and other predators. Now watching the chickens free range is one of Becky’s favorite things.
The property has lots of years. We’d rather not cut them. That’s when the idea for Pappy’s Haunted Trails came up.
